There's a particular kind of magic in waking up to a new island every day, especially when you're sharing it with the people you love most. The Croatia Family Adventure is an eight-day guided bike and boat holiday built specifically with families in mind, taking in the Dalmatian islands of Brač, Hvar, Vis and Šolta from the deck of a comfortable motor yacht. Between gentle cycling, swimming stops in hidden coves and evenings tied up in historic harbour towns, it's the sort of holiday where every generation, grandparents included, finds their own rhythm.

An easy pace, built for every generation

This is graded introductory, which means no special fitness is needed and the routes are gentle, well-surfaced and genuinely suitable for children. Most days offer the choice to cycle or walk, so nobody feels pressured to keep up, and there's always the option to simply stay aboard and swim. Children's bikes are available from 120cm tall, and e-bikes can be arranged for a supplement if anyone in the family would like a little extra help on the hills.

Home is a boat, and the view changes daily

Seven nights are spent aboard a premium motor yacht, in twin cabins below deck with their own ensuite. Meals are mostly included, seven breakfasts, three lunches and four dinners, prepared by the crew on board, so there's plenty of time to relax between stops rather than worry about where to eat. An experienced, English-speaking guide travels with the group throughout, weaving in the history and legends behind each island as you go.

More than cycling: rafting, beekeeping and beach days

The itinerary is full of moments designed to delight kids and adults alike. There's a beach Olympics stop on Brač, a hands-on beekeeping workshop with a local expert on Šolta, and the option to go white-water rafting through the Cetina Canyon near Split (suitable for children five and over). Along the way, you'll wander the UNESCO-listed old towns of Split and Trogir, hike up to the Spanish fortress above Hvar Town for sweeping island views, and pull in for plenty of swimming stops straight off the boat.

Let's tailor it to your family

With several departure dates on offer each season, along with cabin upgrade options, e-bike hire and even a post-tour extension to Zagreb and Plitvice Lakes, there's real scope to build this into an itinerary that suits your family exactly. This is where a tailored itinerary earns its keep, matching dates to school holidays, choosing the right cabin configuration for your group, and taking care of every booking detail so all that's left to do is enjoy the trip.

Let's meet and start planning your family's Croatia adventure together.
